- Every time I open the fridge, I smell the marinade for the pork and swoon a little. #
- I think it might be time to pick up my spindle again. But spinning is, like, hard. #
- Baking Farmhouse White today, with white whole wheat and wheat germ. #
- Anyone have a good cole slaw recipe? My husband thinks “buy cole slaw” means “buy a package of shredded cabbage and carrots.” #
- The tile floor in the bathroom claims another victim. This time, a candle in glass. At least there was no peppermint EO involved. #
- Time to knead in the salt and the old dough. #
- Was worried I poured the milk in too hot and killed the yeast, but the dough rose like crazy just in the 20 minute autolyse. #
- Bread now on its first rise, which I think will only take an hour instead of 90 min. The yeast seems raring to go. #
- 2 sandwich loaves and 16 clover leaf rolls now proofing. #
- Wow, it is looking ominous out there! #
- Proofed loaves were practically leaping out the pan they rose so much. I don’t know why the yeast is so happy today, but it’s good! #

- Ask me how I know. #
- The thunder is setting off car alarms. #
- Damn. Some of the rolls are seriously burned on the bottom. This putting the trays on top of a pizza stone thing may need more thought. #
- Cooking a $12 pork roast tonight and will get at least 3 meals out of it. Now that’s a good deal. #
- A saying I hate: “everything happens for a reason.” Uh, no it doesn’t. Sometimes bad shit happens and there’s no reason, it just sucks. #
- RT @RailroadEarth I want to go to #ROTHBURY #
- Dinner’s late tonight even for us, but OMG it’s going to be so worth it. #
