a higher quality of nothing, striving toward something

Can we please stop calling it “flip flopping” when a politician changes their mind about a position? If we must use the term, can we reserve it for those who change their opinion willy nilly depending on their audience and not for those who have a change in position after a period of consideration and thought?

Rigid refusal to listen to considered argument and change your mind where appropriate isn’t a very good quality. Let’s stop using a derogatory term for people who actually do reconsider their ideas and put thought into things.
